Job Overview

Compensation

• £14.50 per hour for day shifts.
• £16.82 per hour for night shifts, which includes a £2.32 night shift allowance.
• Overtime pay rates of £21.75 per hour for 40-50 hours worked.
• Higher overtime rate of £29 per hour for 50-60 hours worked.

Work Location

Work is based at Amazon Sort Centre (LCY8), Unit 1, London Medway Commercial Park, Stoke Road, Rochester, ME3 9NS.

Role Responsibilities

• Unload, lift, and transport products within the warehouse.
• Scan, sort, and divert packages containing a wide variety of Amazon products.
• After training, operate industrial machines such as forklifts and power pallets to move products.
• Perform duties both indoors and outdoors in the yard, maintaining safe conditions for all team members and delivery partners.

Working Conditions and Skills Required

• Commitment to following all safety, quality, and production guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, potentially over 8 hours per shift.
• Physical capability to lift items weighing up to 23kg and to bend, twist, kneel, and crouch as required.
• Comfort handling a range of Amazon products, including alcohol, pork, beef, and other animal-based goods.
