Role Overview
The Video Editor position is a remote, part-time role tasked with creating high-quality video content that supports the agency's legal branding efforts. Daily responsibilities encompass compiling and refining raw footage, selecting appropriate music and audio, applying color correction and grading, as well as incorporating motion graphics and textual elements to build coherent narratives. The editor collaborates with creative directors, designers, and copywriters to ensure video content aligns with brand strategies and campaign objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Edit and assemble raw video clips into polished content for legal branding projects.
- Select and synchronize music and sound effects to complement visuals.
- Apply color correction and color grading techniques to maintain brand consistency.
- Integrate motion graphics, titles, and animations to enhance storytelling.
- Manage and organize video files effectively to streamline workflow.
- Meet deadlines while working collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Optimize videos for diverse digital platforms to maximize engagement.
- Incorporate feedback from internal teams and clients to refine video content.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficient in video production planning, including footage organization and narrative construction for digital channels.
- Strong storytelling capabilities tailored for brand messaging.
- Expertise in video editing techniques such as cutting, transitions, audio syncing, and pacing focused on branding.
- Skilled in video color grading to ensure visual polish consistent with brand standards.
- Experience with motion graphics creation including titles, lower thirds, and animations.
- Familiarity with professional editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent tools.
- Keen attention to detail combined with excellent time management to meet project deadlines.
- Effective communication skills with a willingness to receive and act upon constructive feedback.
- Previous experience within agency, marketing, or branding contexts; experience with legal or professional services branding is advantageous.
Compensation
The role offers an hourly wage ranging between 25 and 40 USD based on the candidate’s experience.
