Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position located in Accra involves crafting polished video content from raw footage. The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling and sequencing shots, applying color correction and grading, incorporating motion graphics and titles, and integrating audio elements such as music and voiceovers. Collaboration with directors, producers, and designers is essential to interpret creative briefs, maintain brand consistency, and meet deadlines. The role also involves managing media assets, optimizing content for various platforms, and proposing ideas to improve storytelling and audience engagement.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in video editing and production using industry-standard software.
• Experience with video color grading to ensure visual consistency and desired mood.
• Ability to design and integrate motion graphics and titles supporting narratives and branding.
• Strong knowledge of video formats, aspect ratios, and compression techniques relevant to social media and broadcast standards.
• Relevant production or post-production experience supported by a portfolio or showreel.
• Exceptional attention to detail, excellent time management, and capability to work collaboratively on-site in Accra.
• Effective communication skills with willingness to incorporate feedback and adjust edits accordingly.
• A diploma or degree in Film, Media, Visual Arts, or related disciplines is advantageous; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
