Perspective Pictures is a creative video production firm located in Shoreditch, East London, consisting of a talented team of 20 professionals. The company has produced thousands of videos globally for a diverse clientele ranging from startups to renowned brands such as RedBull, LEGO, Lululemon, Fujifilm, and Adobe. Their expertise lies in crafting digital and social-first content including TikTok videos and Netflix documentaries.

Role Overview

As a Video Editor, you will be fully responsible for projects from initial briefing through to delivery, collaborating closely with directors, producers, and other creatives. The position offers opportunities to lead key projects and utilize your technical skills alongside storytelling abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage post-production processes end-to-end for assigned projects.
• Work collaboratively with both in-house and remote creatives, directors, and producers.
• Lead editing efforts, contribute creative ideas, and take charge when necessary to drive projects forward.
• Participate actively in client meetings and editing sessions.
• Keep the wider team informed about project status, timelines, and difficulties.
• Ensure all content quality meets brand standards and is visually flawless.

Candidate Profile

• A portfolio demonstrating excellence in editing and storytelling across social media, branded content, and long-form formats.
• Strong knowledge of digital content creation tailored for platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Meta.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud suite, particularly Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve and 3D software applications.
• Exceptional attention to detail and dedication to quality control.
• Awareness of current creative trends, editing approaches, and advancements in AI and video technology.
• Self-sufficient in managing personal technology, backups, and file organization.
• Experience with collaborative tools such as LucidLink, Frame.io, Slack, Google Drive, and Parsec.
• Highly organized, efficient, and capable of handling multiple timelines simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills and comfort in liaising directly with clients and contributing to meetings.

Additional Information

This is an initial three-month contract position with the possibility of extension on a rolling basis. The working hours are 37.5 hours per week. The salary ranges from £28,000 to £32,000 per annum on a pro-rated basis depending on experience.
