Role overview
This position is for a Venture Capital Analyst / Associate who will help evaluate potential investments, study markets, review portfolio performance, and support decisions that shape investment strategy. The role focuses on researching industries and companies, assessing business models, and identifying promising opportunities in both emerging and established sectors.
What you will do
You will carry out market and company research, perform financial analysis, compare competitors, and help with commercial due diligence to support investment choices. The role also includes examining industry trends, studying startup ecosystems, building financial models, preparing investment memos, and tracking portfolio performance through analysis and reporting.
In addition, you will work with investment professionals, founders, and other stakeholders to understand market movements, assess business strategies, support portfolio management, contribute to pipeline development, maintain investment records, create internal presentation materials, and help review growth opportunities and investment risks.

Qualifications and skills
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Solid understanding of venture capital, private equity, corporate finance, startup ecosystems, and investment analysis.
- Working knowledge of financial modelling, valuation methods, financial statement review, and market research approaches.
- Familiarity with industry research, competitor analysis, commercial due diligence, and investment assessment methods.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and tools used for financial analysis.
- Strong quantitative and analytical ability, with confidence interpreting financial and operational data.
- Capability to investigate industries, assess business models, and spot market trends and investment opportunities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for drafting memos, reports, and presentations.
- Good organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage several research and investment tasks at once.
- High attention to detail, with a strong focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and professional conduct.
