Underground Paste Crew Member

About the Role

Join Endura Mining during a dynamic growth phase at our Little River site in Canterbury, New Zealand. We are a values-driven mining company aiming to expand operations over multiple gold and copper projects. You will play a vital role in our paste fill operations, helping to deliver efficient and safe underground paste reticulation essential for production activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, extend, inspect, and maintain underground paste pipeline systems and related infrastructure.
• Prepare and set up stopes ahead of paste filling operations.
• Monitor paste delivery systems, documenting any operational issues or irregularities.
• Conduct routine inspections of paste lines, valves, barricades, and filling systems.
• Assist pressure testing and commissioning tasks for reticulation systems.
• Safely operate light vehicles, elevated platforms, and other equipment as necessary.
• Ensure all paste filling meets approved procedures and aligns with mine scheduling.
• Identify, report and address hazards, defects, leaks, or system malfunctions promptly.
• Collaborate closely with production, technical services, and paste plant teams to support operations.
• Contribute to underground services and project tasks as directed by supervisors.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Experience working in underground mining environments, especially with paste fill or similar service crews.
• Valid Manual Driver Licence.
• Thorough understanding of underground mining safety protocols and procedures.
• Capability to safely install and maintain underground infrastructure.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Proactive in hazard identification and effective implementation of controls.
• Self-driven with aptitude to work both independently and within teams.
• Willingness to work a 7-day rotating shift pattern including nights.
