Role overview
This position supports underground operations by observing how NCM products are used in the mining environment and by flagging any unsafe practices or departures from the required standard. The role acts as a communication bridge between NCM and the customer to help maintain safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.
Reporting line
The role reports to the Marketing Manager.
Location
This role is based across all regions.
Purpose of the role
The main objective is to provide observation and reporting support between NCM and the customer so that important updates are shared clearly and accurately in support of product use and service quality.
Qualification and certification requirements
- Matric is required.
- A valid RSA driver’s licence is required.
- One-on-one on-the-job training certification is an advantage.
- Assessor certification is an advantage.
- Comp A or Comp B certification is an advantage.
- Employment depends on passing the medical fitness assessment required by the mine.
Knowledge and experience
- Strong communication abilities.
- Ability to work as part of a team and provide support to managers and customers.
- Capacity to work independently and remain dependable.
- Basic computer literacy, including MS Office.
- Awareness of cultural sensitivity and organisational culture.
- Report-writing ability, preferably in English.
- Training and coaching capability is an advantage.

The ideal person is self-disciplined, punctual, organised, flexible, adaptable to changing work conditions and relocation, and strongly service-oriented.

The role requires the ability to interact positively with the underground workforce, influence people constructively, communicate effectively, listen well, gather and share information, and build working relationships.
