Transformation Experience & Adoption Lead

About the Role and Organization

Avance Consulting Group seeks a motivated Transformation Experience & Adoption Lead to join their team on a full-time basis. This position involves steering enterprise transformations by designing experience-centered adoption journeys. The initial engagement spans approximately 12 months, operating remotely within the United States, with a likely future transition to Charlotte, North Carolina, contingent on mutual fit.

In this role, you will serve one of the world's leading active investment management firms, a private, well-established financial services provider managing over $3 trillion in assets globally, offering services across investors, intermediaries, institutions, and retirement plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and lead experience-driven journeys to transform complex organizational changes such as AI implementation and digital modernization into engaging user experiences rather than mere procedural updates.
• Serve as an internal innovator by confronting traditional transformation models, fostering creativity, and accelerating adoption processes across the organization.
• Provide consultative storytelling and serve as a strategic advisor to executive stakeholders through authentic, collaborative communication and engaging presentations.
• Develop the transformation practice from the ground up, creating new frameworks and activation strategies where none currently exist.
• Create impactful activation campaigns incorporating audience segmentation, journey mapping, and campaign narratives to drive sustained behavioral changes.
• Organize and facilitate immersive workshops, creative sessions, and leadership alignments to make abstract change initiatives tangible and actionable.
• Establish metrics to assess adoption and sentiment, continuously refining campaigns based on user feedback.

Candidate Profile and Experience

• Significant experience as a managing consultant, agency leader, or startup founder/co-founder with a strong entrepreneurial orientation.
• Proven ability to market personal services, rapidly pitch ideas, and build practices or brands from scratch.
• Expertise in product delivery, product management, and marketing strategies with a strong focus on audience experience and journey design.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a natural storytelling ability to engage and influence audiences.
• Capacity to navigate and influence traditional corporate cultures while pushing boundaries effectively.
• Willingness and ability to reside in or relocate to the Charlotte, North Carolina area to support physical office culture development.

Required Expertise

• Advanced expertise in brand storytelling essential for driving narrative-based dialogue.
• Proven skills in go-to-market strategy to launch and pitch innovative ideas successfully.
• Experience in innovation-focused environments such as startups or ventures.
• Strong stakeholder relationship management capabilities.

Core Competencies (Proficient Level)

• Product thinking and strategy critical for constructing adoption journeys.
• Human-centered or experience design to support the design of engaging transformation initiatives.
• Change adaptation with the caveat of avoiding standard textbook approaches.

Additional Skills (Nice to Have)

• Familiarity with investment management sectors providing contextual insight.
• Baseline knowledge of agile methodologies to support delivery frameworks.
• Understanding of artificial intelligence as a typical transformation focus area, although not a core requirement.

Compensation and Location

This role offers compensation between $65 and $100 per hour. While the initial phase is remote within the United States, ongoing leadership directives require relocation to Charlotte, NC for long-term engagement.
