Job description
Position Overview
Masterack is looking for a dependable and safety-conscious Traffic Porter to join our team. The role involves efficiently and accurately managing the check-in, transportation, and organization of vehicle chassis and finished units, while upholding stringent safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere strictly to company and departmental safety protocols at all times.
- Interpret and accurately execute written work orders and instructions.
- Ensure Masterack's zero-defect quality standard is maintained through careful inspections and compliance with procedures.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives such as PPS, 5S, and TPM.
- Be flexible to cross-train and assist other departments as required.
- Safely drive, park, and transport chassis and finished products, including travels to off-site locations and dealerships.
- Complete chassis check-in processes following company standards.
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to aid daily operations.
- Keep precise and timely records of all vehicle movements and traffic procedures.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and be willing to work overtime when necessary to support production demands.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Preferred minimum education: High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Possession of a valid state driver's license at time of hiring.
- Prior forklift experience mandatory; forklift certification preferred or required if applicable.
- Successful clearance of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background check.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Dedicated to maintaining safety and quality standards.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift and carry weights up to 35 pounds.
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, and reach throughout the workday.
- Occasionally work in confined spaces or crawl as needed.
- Frequent hand use for gripping, handling materials, and repetitive tasks.
- Capability to climb ladders and operate at heights when necessary.
- Capacity to function effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
