We are currently seeking a Trade Qualified Spray Painter to join our Laverton site. This permanent full-time position offers a Monday to Friday schedule with opportunities for overtime, in a modern, fully-equipped workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and match paint colors accurately using computerized color matching technology to meet manufacturer standards.
- Apply primers, base coats, and clear coats to repaired vehicle panels and complete vehicles.
- Blend and fade paint to ensure seamless color transitions for a flawless finish.
- Perform meticulous quality inspections of paintwork before vehicles proceed to detailing.
- Maintain efficiency to meet production targets without sacrificing quality.
- Keep spray equipment, paint booths, and job documentation maintained and up to date.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Trade qualification in Automotive Refinishing or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated experience in smash repair or automotive refinishing environments.
- Strong ability in color matching and blending for superior finishes.
- Capability to work productively in a high-volume workshop environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Attention to detail and commitment to consistent, high-quality results.
- Reliable and safety-oriented team player.
- Must hold full Australian work rights.
