About the Role

Join our Timber Yard Team at Mitre 10 Onehunga to assist Trade Customers with their projects, focusing on hands-on work with timber and timber products. This full-time, permanent position requires working Sunday through Thursday and involves both indoor and outdoor physical tasks, including handling and moving stock of varying sizes. You'll collaborate closely with Trade and Dispatch teams within a supportive and down-to-earth environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide reliable support to Trade Customers by managing timber and related products.
• Work effectively within the Trade and Dispatch teams to manage stock and fulfil customer needs.
• Handle physical material, involving lifting, carrying, and loading timber items.

Candidate Profile

• Maintains good physical fitness suitable for demanding manual tasks.
• Delivers friendly, professional customer service with clear communication.
• Capable of working independently as well as cooperating within a team.
• Possesses a full, clean driver's license with F endorsement or previous forklift experience is beneficial; willingness to gain forklift certification is supported.
• Brings energy, reliability, and a positive attitude towards learning.
• Previous experience in customer service or knowledge of building and timber products is advantageous but not essential.
