Testing Supervisor

Job Opportunity Overview

This role involves executing routine testing through an efficient and streamlined production line designed to achieve top-notch quality, optimal cost efficiency, and rapid delivery schedules. The position entails quality control over GIS systems, maintaining testing documentation, and actively participating in process enhancements while ensuring a clean and hazard-free workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assembly, repairs, and routine testing of GIS bays, including components and modules, covering mechanical, 10KV, high voltage, functional, and resistance assessments according to detailed work instructions, drawings, bills of materials, checklists, guidelines, and customer requirements.
• Execute production orders as per assigned work packages, guided by production data and instructions.
• Perform self-inspections on completed work packages, accurately documenting outcomes on checklists and protocols.
• Aim for excellence in quality, cost containment, and timely delivery in all work activities.
• Oversee quality control processes, promptly escalating any quality discrepancies. Document non-conformances and support root cause analysis for failures.
• Collect and relay product improvement feedback from GIS Local Service Center engineers.
• Cultivate effective teamwork by communicating and coordinating with internal stakeholders across assembly, testing, logistics, and other departments.
• Follow all factory guidelines related to safety, quality, environmental protection, recycling, and housekeeping independently.
• Uphold a safe work atmosphere by adhering to Hitachi Energy's Health, Safety, and Environment standards, reporting irregularities to supervisors.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to fostering a Lean production culture.
• Proactively provide suggestions, insights, and observations to enhance operations.
• Carry out additional tasks as delegated by management to meet job requirements.
• Handle factory equipment and tools carefully, maintain testing equipment, and ensure continuous proper calibration.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable internal and external regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Have 2 to 3 years of professional experience in laboratory or testing environments.
• Demonstrate strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
• Be proficient in interpreting technical diagrams and material lists.
• Have excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with a capacity to engage professionally with varied teams.
• Maintain fluency in English language communication.
