Organization Overview
The National Technology Business Centre (NTBC) is a statutory body founded under the Science and Technology Act No. 26 of 1997 and Statutory Instrument No.136 of 1999. It operates under the National Science and Technology Policy of 1996 and is governed by a Board of Directors from various industries and sectors. The Centre's core mission is to promote, market, and facilitate the transfer of proven, sustainable technologies to entrepreneurs to maximize their utilization and support national and industrial development.
Job Purpose
The Technology Transfer Officer's primary responsibility is to facilitate the transfer of proven technologies, ensuring their adoption and effective use by relevant industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, adopt, and pilot innovations to promote commercialization of technologies.
- Provide advisory support for product development related to indigenous innovations to foster industrial growth.
- Maintain and update a comprehensive database of available technologies to enhance accessibility to information.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must possess a Full Form V or Grade 12 School Certificate.
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Must be a current paid-up member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ).
- Minimum of three years of relevant pre-job experience.

All academic and professional qualifications submitted must be verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQU). Verification or evaluation certificates should accompany the application.
