Tech Ops employees operate primarily in Denver (Hangar Line Maintenance), Phoenix, Dallas, Orlando, and Las Vegas (Line Maintenance).
Main Role: A&P Mechanic
The Aircraft & Powerplant Mechanic position entails performing comprehensive maintenance on Airbus A320 aircraft conforming to company policies and federal aviation regulations.
Qualifications
- FAA certification with Airframe and Powerplant ratings, including at least two years of experience in heavy aircraft maintenance such as inspections, engine swaps, landing gear replacements, structural repairs, and flight control adjustments.
- Preferred experience on Airbus 320/321 or similar aircraft, although candidates without Airbus experience or recent graduates will be considered by hiring managers.
Tools
A minimum required tools list includes various drive ratchets, 12-point sockets, adapters, extensions, combination wrenches across multiple sizes, interchangeable screwdrivers, pliers, safety wire, slip joint, hammers, punches, and a flashlight essential for maintenance work.
Tech Ops Departments
- Support Shop: Executes composite, paint, structure, and sheet metal aircraft maintenance under supervision.
- Maintenance Control: Responsible for overseeing and regulating shift maintenance operations to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable functionality of the aircraft fleet.
- Quality Control: Quality Assurance auditors monitor performance and conduct internal and contractor audits within the Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP).
- Ground Support Equipment Mechanic: Performs maintenance on Frontier Airlines' ground support vehicles, requiring automotive experience.
Educational Partnerships
