Technical Business Analyst

Role Overview

We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join on a contract basis (9 months minimum) responsible for documenting the current and future state processes related to B2B data integration implementations. The role requires comprehensive requirement gathering, process mapping, and collaboration between business units and delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and model business processes relevant to B2B integrations.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements thoroughly.
• Develop scenario models and collect metrics to guide effective decision-making.
• Establish and maintain strong business relationships with functional areas.
• Create detailed business analysis reports outlining problems, opportunities, and potential solutions.
• Translate and simplify complex functional requirements for wider understanding.
• Conduct research and analysis on business challenges.
• Support the implementation of solutions within representative business units.
• Design, implement, and support business application software as needed.
• Build and maintain connections with key stakeholders.
• Perform cost-benefit and ROI analyses to support project justifications.
• Be onsite in Tauranga approximately 2 or 3 days every alternate week.
• Be available to commence work within one month of receiving an offer.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a technical Business Analyst.
• Degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• Relevant business analysis/system certifications (PMBOK, SAP, Microsoft) preferred.
• Familiarity with API-led/data integration platforms concepts such as event-driven vs bulk exchange patterns (e.g., Azure APIM, OAuth 2.0).
• Understanding of B2B and consumer (U2B) integration models.
• Knowledge of data sharing, privacy concerns including DSAs and consent models.
• Proven expertise in requirements gathering, process modeling, and leading workshops.
• Strong skills in composing business cases and specifications.
• In-depth comprehension of database structures, theories, and principles.

Desirable Experience

• Experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP.
• Background working in multinational companies.
• Familiarity with Signavio process management tools.
• Involvement delivering cloud-based and other best-of-breed non-SAP solutions.
• Experience in Supply Chain, Fruit Quality, or Agriculture sectors alongside SAP knowledge.
