Job Overview

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for two part-time Band 3 Support Worker positions within its Community Bridging Service, located in Frimley, England. Candidates must possess a full UK driving licence and business insurance. The roles involve supporting clients in their homes, aiding with daily living activities, and fostering independence, all under the indirect supervision of a Team Manager.

Shift patterns vary between the two posts: Post 1 offers 28 hours per week consisting of three 6-hour shifts and two 5-hour shifts; Post 2 provides 24 hours per week with two 6-hour and three 4-hour shifts. Shift times range from early starts at 8am to late finishes up to 9pm, including weekend work.

The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship due to salary and qualification criteria.

Main Duties

  • Deliver high-quality care to clients within the community setting, maintaining safety and promoting equality.
  • Assist clients with personal care and other daily living activities such as meal preparation.
  • Identify early signs of patient deterioration and ensure client safety at all times.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and participate in team-related activities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Essential: A Level 2 Apprenticeship in Care or relevant subject, or at least one year of experience working in health and social care.
  • GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent qualifications.
  • Previous caregiving experience, such as Health Care Assistant role, with competence in safe moving and handling.
  • Desirable: Level 3 Apprenticeship in Care, Care Certificate, community care experience, and advanced moving and handling skills.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Ability to provide personal care in a person-centered manner.
  • Competent in moving and handling of clients safely.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with medical conditions and exercise therapy is advantageous.
