Store Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Store Manager to oversee the efficient day-to-day operations of our Centra store located in Dingle, County Kerry. The successful candidate will ensure that all team members consistently deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a fresh food offering, while driving sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Uphold Centra's brand values of being Proud, Energetic, Imaginative, and Community-Based.
• Manage the smooth functioning of the store, including merchandising and presentation to the highest standards as per store planograms.
• Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets, including gross profit margin, net margin, waste reduction, and other KPIs agreed with the Store Owner.
• Correctly implement product layouts and ensure the right product assortment is maintained.
• Handle employee scheduling, annual leave, and maintain secure and accurate staff records.
• Maintain regular communication with the Store Owner and foster a positive workplace culture based on respect, safety, and inclusivity.
• Address customer queries professionally and in line with store policies.
• Engage with store initiatives and adopt new operational methods enthusiastically.

Candidate Profile

• At least two years of management experience in a relevant retail environment.
• Proven ability to understand and meet KPIs and business targets.
• Strong skills in interpreting reports and taking appropriate action.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
• Excellent communication and delegation skills.
• Highly motivated with a solid work ethic.
• Passionate about grocery retail and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
