Job description
Overview
The Material Handling & Inventory Specialist is integral to ensuring efficient warehouse and production workflows by managing the movement and accuracy of materials and components. This role involves supporting Kardex kitting, conducting cycle counts, and maintaining precise inventory controls while working closely with various teams to uphold operational excellence and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Move materials from receiving areas into the Kardex system and assemble kits precisely according to Bills of Materials.
- Work with suppliers to replace damaged or nonconforming items and label and package kits for clear identification and safe handling.
- Generate replenishment reports, execute move orders, and update Oracle system transactions to ensure materials reach the assembly line promptly.
- Manage consumables and Kanban inventory, coordinating with suppliers to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Pick and pack shipments for delivery to AMMC and monitor the system to resolve issues such as unissued parts or inventory discrepancies.
- Support redlight tool processes to address inventory-related challenges.
- Perform weekly cycle counts on raw materials and monthly counts on press production inventory, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
- Maintain precise documentation in Kardex for traceability, process scrap transactions accurately, and adhere to organizational health, safety, and environmental policies.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in business, engineering, logistics, or supply chain fields.
- Approximately 2 to 3 years of experience in warehouse operations or material handling, or corresponding practical experience.
- Basic knowledge of inventory and warehouse management processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and dedication to accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications related to supply chain management, forklift operation, or relevant areas.
- Track record of enhancing warehouse procedures and operational effectiveness.
- Understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards applicable to warehouse settings.
