We are seeking a Software Development Manager within our Content Engineering team based in Dublin, Ireland. The position involves being onsite at our Dublin office at least two days weekly on designated Anchor Days.

Role Overview

This role supports the Content Engineering division, overseeing the Iceberg platform and serving as the technical visionary for the data pipelines powering our core AI products. The ideal candidate combines strong people management skills with deep technical expertise and hands-on involvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner closely with the leadership triad (Design, Product, and Development) to understand business challenges, identify impactful opportunities, and develop strategic roadmaps for the team.
• Collaborate with team members to architect and design robust technical solutions.
• Provide detailed and constructive feedback on code reviews and architecture documents to guide technical decisions.
• Contribute actively to projects through code reviews and direct coding contributions.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports to support their professional growth and development.
• Engage in hiring processes to attract and recruit top engineering talent.
• Offer expert advice and review code submitted by developers across the organization seeking your technical insights.

Candidate Profile

• Proven success in leading software development teams, particularly in delivering large-scale SaaS products.
• Extensive technical knowledge in data engineering, focusing on scalable data transformation pipelines and AI-driven architectures.
• Strong background in hands-on development with diverse technical skills for problem-solving.
• Ability to articulate successful project experiences and lessons learned from less successful initiatives.
• Embraces continuous improvement and emerging technologies, especially in AI.
• Successful track record in hiring, coaching, and retaining high-performing engineers in a competitive job market.
• Open to holding strong technical opinions while encouraging flexibility and growth mindset within the team.
• Committed to giving and receiving honest, actionable feedback to foster team development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Thought leadership on what constitutes effective software development teams.
• Experience working with CRM products at an enterprise scale.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails or Python programming languages.
