About the Role
Global Professional Consultants is seeking a dedicated Site Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor executing a significant public realm and infrastructure project in Stramullen, County Meath, Ireland. This position offers an excellent chance for an experienced engineer to engage with a dynamic team and contribute to the successful execution of high-quality civil engineering works within a busy project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and support the daily operations on site related to civil engineering tasks.
- Perform precise setting out duties utilizing GPS and levelling equipment.
- Validate all site measurements, lines, and levels to maintain accuracy.
- Conduct site surveys and develop as-built drawings using AutoCAD software.
- Coordinate communications and collaboration with the Project Manager, subcontractors, suppliers, and other relevant parties.
- Track site progress rigorously and maintain thorough site diaries and documentation.
- Carry out routine site inspections to ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
- Assist in resolving technical and construction challenges encountered on site.
- Guarantee that all construction activities align with design specifications and quality benchmarks.
- Support the coordination of drainage, earthworks, concrete works, road construction, footpaths, and external landscaping tasks.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field at Level 8 (QQI) or an internationally recognized equivalent qualification.
- At least three years of experience serving as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or construction sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, site practices, and health & safety regulations.
- Hands-on experience with GPS and levelling instruments, as well as AutoCAD proficiency.
- Practical exposure to civil engineering or major infrastructure projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills including communication, organization, and teamwork capabilities.
- Able to work autonomously and collaboratively within a broader project team.
- Possession of a full clean driving license.
- Authorized to work legally in the Republic of Ireland.
Salary and Benefits
- Annual salary range between €60,000 and €70,000, influenced by experience level.
