About the Role

We are seeking motivated professionals to join our team as Signal Mechanics at DB InfraGO AG across various locations including Altenburg, Bitterfeld, Dessau-Roßlau, Eilenburg, Falkenberg, Leipzig, Lutherstadt Wittenberg, and Zeitz. The role involves critical work in the field of control and safety technology—ensuring the seamless operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of signaling systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a diverse range of control and safety technology facilities.
  • Focus primarily on electronic components such as signals, switches, and interlockings, while acquiring experience with mechanical elements as well.
  • Perform work independently and collaboratively within your regional area, prioritizing teamwork and reliability.
  • Oversee the functioning of electrical facilities, both indoors and outdoors, with an emphasis on outdoor work environments.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify issues with route control systems, alongside compiling and submitting fault reports.
  • Begin and end shifts at a central base, where you collect necessary materials, modern equipment, measuring tools, and a vehicle.

Candidate Profile

  • Completed vocational training in a technical field and certification as a Signal Mechanic (per guideline Ril. 892.0104), including practical experience in inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting signaling systems.
  • Ideally positioned with safety supervision qualifications or as a self-sufficient safety officer, and open to further professional development.
  • Valid Class B driver's license is essential.
  • Medically fit according to departmental requirements for control and safety technology, or willing to obtain requisite certifications.
  • Strong sense of teamwork and resilience.

Additional Information

  • We are committed to equal opportunities and creating a diverse, inclusive staff environment. Applications are encouraged from all backgrounds, including those with disabilities. Qualified candidates with disabilities are given preference in selection.

Benefits

  • Secure, long-term employment with a forward-thinking company.
  • Flexible leave policies with up to 40 days of vacation per year, options to reduce working hours, or increase your earnings as it suits your personal needs.
  • Work on impactful infrastructure projects, both on a regional and European scale, presenting stimulating challenges and the opportunity to make your mark.
