Senior Transportation Engineer

Position Overview

The Senior Transportation Engineer role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation Engineering, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's degree in the same field. Applicants should bring at least 15 years of extensive experience in transportation planning, traffic management, and highway design. Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems and software such as TransCAD, Vissim, SUMO, and Invarion is essential. Possession of a Professional Engineering License is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Urban Street Design: Develop typical roadway designs, including pavement, curb, gutter, sidewalks, and drainage improvements within developed urban areas. Manage preparation of plans, specifications, transportation planning, and bidding documents for both urban and rural settings.
• Rehabilitation Design: Conduct testing and evaluation of existing pavement sections; handle all engineering aspects required for plans, specifications, and bid documentation for roadway rehabilitation projects, which may include minor structural work and minimal right-of-way engineering.
• Railway Engineering: Support comprehensive railway engineering projects such as long-distance rail and metro stations by performing preliminary investigations, desk studies, design reviews, alignment selection, and resolution of utility conflicts.
• Traffic Engineering: Deliver traffic studies and engineering solutions tailored to traffic challenges, working at both network and project levels. Execute traffic analysis and modeling across diverse project scales and leverage various transportation modeling methodologies.
