About the Role
Oaktree Talent Group & Future State Consulting are recruiting a Senior Strategy Manager for a distinguished ASX-listed financial services company based in Sydney. This pivotal role reports directly to the Chief Strategy Officer and collaborates extensively with the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board members. The position presents a rare opportunity to influence the company’s strategic direction during a vibrant phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the enterprise-wide strategic planning process, including managing strategic planning cycles and conducting thorough strategic reviews.
- Develop comprehensive strategic recommendations, detailed business cases, and formal Board papers to facilitate high-level decision-making.
- Perform extensive market analyses, competitive research, and strategy assessments to uncover business expansion opportunities.
- Evaluate strategic partnership and investment prospects to drive corporate growth.
- Oversight of corporate business performance, governance matters, and prioritization related to strategic projects.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to set performance metrics and back enterprise planning initiatives.
- Prepare polished presentations and submissions tailored for the Executive Leadership Team and Board.
Candidate Profile
- Between 6 and 10 years of professional experience in management consulting and/or corporate strategy roles.
- Proven track record from top-tier management consulting firms specialized in strategy such as McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Kearney, L.E.K., Oliver Wyman, Strategy&, EY-Parthenon, Monitor Deloitte, or other comparable firms.
- Exceptional structured problem-solving abilities capable of framing problems, formulating hypotheses, conducting analyses, and generating actionable recommendations.
- Skilled in constructing business cases, performing commercial evaluations, and crafting executive-level presentations.
- Proficient in managing relationships with senior executives, including Executive Leadership Teams and Board members.
- Experience in financial services, insurance, or similarly regulated sectors is highly advantageous.
- Comfortable working independently in a dynamic, strategic environment requiring hands-on involvement.
- Possesses tertiary education credentials in Commerce, Economics, Finance, Business, or related fields.
