About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute to creating new products from the ground up, focusing on our Workforce product roadmap. This role offers close collaboration with senior leaders and a direct influence on meaningful outcomes in education technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software for Learnosity's Workforce product.
- Lead planning, estimation, and scheduling activities, coordinating with cross-functional teams and management.
- Investigate complex software issues and deliver effective, lasting solutions.
Required Experience and Skills
- Strong knowledge and experience with agile software development methodologies.
- Proactive problem-solving capabilities with a focus on practical resolution.
- Over six years of experience developing web applications.
- Proficiency in Python and Typescript programming languages.
- Familiarity with multiple database types, including relational, NoSQL, and document-based systems, and optimizing queries in high-performance scenarios.
- Experience creating unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.
- Deep understanding of design patterns and backend architecture best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, adaptable for different audiences.
- Strong skills in performing code reviews.
- Experience mentoring less-experienced developers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with AI technologies, including machine learning and large language models.
- Background in Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Experience setting up and managing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Experience working in startup-like environments embracing agility and innovation.
