Role Overview

We are inviting applications for a Senior Project Manager position to lead the design and execution of large-scale transportation projects, including Bus Connects. This leadership role within a multidisciplinary consultancy team involves managing the entire design process and acting as the crucial connection point between the client and all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design and delivery phases of major infrastructure projects.
• Serve as the principal interface between clients and all involved stakeholders.
• Ensure projects adhere to defined scope, timelines, budgets, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
• Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, public bodies, and other stakeholders.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams to promote collaboration and enhance performance.
• Coordinate and supervise specialist sub-consultants’ activities.
• Guide scheme development and strategic project delivery approaches.
• Continuously monitor project progress and performance metrics.

Candidate Qualifications and Experience

• Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Ireland or an equivalent recognized professional body.
• At least ten years of relevant civil engineering experience, particularly in roads or transport infrastructure sectors.
• Proven track record in managing complex infrastructure projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated expertise in client and stakeholder engagement, focused on achieving high satisfaction and fostering enduring relationships.
• Strong technical knowledge in road design, traffic management, public transit systems, and/or active travel.
• Familiarity with key transport design standards such as DMURS, National Cycle Design Manual, NTA PAGs, and TII publications.
• Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in technical report writing.
