Role Overview
We are inviting applications for a Senior Project Manager position to lead the design and execution of large-scale transportation projects, including Bus Connects. This leadership role within a multidisciplinary consultancy team involves managing the entire design process and acting as the crucial connection point between the client and all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the design and delivery phases of major infrastructure projects.
- Serve as the principal interface between clients and all involved stakeholders.
- Ensure projects adhere to defined scope, timelines, budgets, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, public bodies, and other stakeholders.
- Direct multidisciplinary teams to promote collaboration and enhance performance.
- Coordinate and supervise specialist sub-consultants’ activities.
- Guide scheme development and strategic project delivery approaches.
- Continuously monitor project progress and performance metrics.
Candidate Qualifications and Experience
- Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Ireland or an equivalent recognized professional body.
- At least ten years of relevant civil engineering experience, particularly in roads or transport infrastructure sectors.
- Proven track record in managing complex infrastructure projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in client and stakeholder engagement, focused on achieving high satisfaction and fostering enduring relationships.
- Strong technical knowledge in road design, traffic management, public transit systems, and/or active travel.
- Familiarity with key transport design standards such as DMURS, National Cycle Design Manual, NTA PAGs, and TII publications.
- Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in technical report writing.
