About LAB3 and the Role

LAB3 is a leading Azure engineering firm in Australasia, specializing in Cloud & DevOps, Data, IoT & AI, Modern Workplace, Security, and Networks. We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our Technology Team to build internal platforms that facilitate LAB3's operations, as well as develop AI-driven applications for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the complete software lifecycle, from design through deployment to ongoing support, covering frontend, backend, data management, and Azure infrastructure.
Create user-friendly interfaces using React and TypeScript, design effective APIs and backend services, implement sound data models, and oversee reliable deployments.
Leverage AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code and Copilot to increase efficiency while integrating large language model components like retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agents, evaluation processes, and operational safeguards into deliverables.
Develop AI-powered internal products and client applications, working within LAB3's various platforms including agent orchestration and financial operations tooling.
Collaborate closely with consultants, architects, and clients to translate less defined business needs into tangible technical implementations and functional software.
Maintain high engineering standards through mentoring colleagues, performing thorough code reviews, making pragmatic decisions, and ensuring strong testing, observability, and operational responsibility.

Candidate Profile

At least five years of strong full stack development experience covering modern frontend frameworks, backend services, API development, relational databases, and cloud deployment.
Proficient in React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Python with demonstrated capabilities in designing, shipping, and maintaining production-grade software.
Hands-on knowledge or rapid learning potential of Microsoft Azure services such as App Services, Functions, Storage, Identity, and CI/CD pipelines.
Current practical application of AI development tools and experience delivering features or products involving LLM integration, RAG, agents, or related AI technologies.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with the ability to engage directly with non-technical stakeholders and mentor development teams.
Must hold full working rights and be a resident in Australia or New Zealand.
