Senior Estimator

About the Role

We are looking to hire an experienced Senior Estimator to join a prominent construction firm based in Kildare. This role offers the chance to contribute to a variety of high-value construction projects across Ireland, supported by a flexible hybrid working schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates and tender proposals for major construction ventures.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and contracts to generate precise pricing.
• Oversee the estimation process from initial inquiry to final tender submission.
• Source and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities, and suggest value engineering solutions.
• Collaborate effectively with construction, commercial, and project management teams.
• Cultivate and maintain strong connections with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Participate in the ongoing enhancement of estimating procedures and processes.

Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated experience as a Senior Estimator in the construction sector.
• In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and project delivery systems.
• Proven ability in pricing large-scale projects and handling complex tenders.
• High level of commercial insight and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Capability to operate autonomously as well as collaboratively within project teams.
