Role Overview

The Senior Developer Community Manager role focuses on evolving developer engagement strategies away from traditional channels toward real-time learning via generative AI and social media. The manager will collaborate closely across teams to enhance 1Password's developer tool awareness by fostering authentic technical interactions, supporting public repositories, and cultivating community members both online and at events.

Responsibilities

• Promote 1Password’s developer tools through meaningful technical conversations in public forums including social media platforms such as LinkedIn, X, Reddit, and in-person events.
• Create and maintain engaging communication spaces for developers via Slack, GitHub, and social media channels.
• Gather community feedback and translate it into actionable insights for product teams.
• Develop training and resources to empower 1Password employees to effectively engage with developer communities.
• Implement recognition programs to reward technically engaged community members and encourage peer support, contribution, and content creation.
• Maximize the use and reuse of marketing and educational materials across various channels to extend the reach of initiatives.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5 years in technical roles such as software/platform engineering, community management, support, or solutions engineering with solid understanding of modern development practices.
• Proven experience managing complex and sensitive community engagements with empathy, discretion, and composure both online and offline.
• Strong communication skills, capable of clearly and kindly engaging on social media, GitHub, and project tracking systems.
• Demonstrated organizational abilities in coordinating events, projects, and cross-functional efforts.
• Skilled in listening to technical community conversations to extract valuable feedback and champion that feedback within the organization.

Compensation and Benefits
