Role Overview

As a trusted finance business partner, you will be responsible for managing key aspects of the business's performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and commercial analysis. Your insights will guide strategic decision-making by evaluating marketing initiative profitability, tenders, and commercial strategies, delivering impactful analysis to enhance business outcomes.

This position goes beyond traditional financial planning and analysis (FP&A). You will lead efforts to transform how commercial performance is understood by creating customer profitability reports, assessing promotional effectiveness, and improving reporting through automation and business intelligence (BI) tools. Your work will influence senior stakeholders and contribute to shaping the finance function's future.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team leaders across business units to provide commercial insights and assist in strategic decision-making.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for key profit and loss areas.
• Analyze commercial deals, tenders, and business cases, offering profitability assessments and recommendations.
• Review promotional campaign performance and identify ways to enhance return on investment.
• Prepare executive-level reports, financial analyses, and meaningful commercial commentaries.
• Develop and improve BI dashboards and automated reporting solutions.
• Create commercial models and tools that support better business decisions.
• Engage senior stakeholders proactively through analysis, challenges, and actionable commercial advice.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is an experienced Commercial Analyst, FP&A specialist, or Finance Business Partner who thrives in close collaboration with operational teams to influence commercial results. You have a natural curiosity, a capability for spotting trends, risks, and opportunities beyond raw numbers, and you can articulate complex data into clear, practical business insights.

Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling within commercial settings is essential. You excel in fast-moving environments where priorities change rapidly, are proficient with large datasets, and enjoy enhancing reporting and automation processes. Confidence in partnering with senior leaders and providing constructive commercial challenge is vital.

Familiarity with business intelligence tools and advanced Excel skills are highly valued. Professional accounting certifications such as CA or CPA are preferred but not mandatory.
