Overview
This role offers a 6-month contract opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst with expertise in General Insurance or Financial Services sectors. The successful candidate will act as a trusted liaison between business and technology stakeholders, adept at leading requirements sessions and driving change projects from start to finish within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate and lead workshops to gather detailed business requirements from stakeholders across the organization.
- Document, analyze, and validate requirements, ensuring proper stakeholder approval is obtained.
- Convert business needs into precise functional and technical specifications for delivery and testing teams.
- Engage with external IT partners to confirm accurate understanding and fulfillment of requirements.
- Support development and testing phases by clarifying requirements and providing essential business context.
- Work collaboratively with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Data Protection, and other governance groups.
- Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate when necessary to maintain successful implementation.
- Manage the full change lifecycle from initiation through implementation.
- Contribute to solution design ensuring alignment with business goals and client outcomes.
- Maintain thorough business analysis documentation including process maps, impact assessments, and change records.
- Promote effective communication channels between business units, technical teams, and vendor partners.
- Ensure strict adherence to company governance policies, regulatory requirements, and delivery standards.
Experience and Skills
- Extensive background in Business Analysis within General Insurance, Financial Services, or comparable regulated industries.
- Successful track record delivering complex business change and transformation initiatives.
- Proficiency in gathering, analyzing, mapping processes, and designing solutions.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical documentation and guiding development teams.
- Knowledge of EDI systems and business processes considered a strong advantage.
- Highly skilled stakeholder management involving business, IT, governance, and external suppliers.
- Familiarity collaborating with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Finance, and operational units.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation abilities.
- Strong decision-making, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
- Capacity to juggle multiple projects simultaneously within dynamic environments.
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and ownership of deliverables.
- Capable of working autonomously while fostering cross-team collaboration.
- Experience with both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies is beneficial.
Additional Information
This position operates inside IR35 regulations. The employer supports flexible working hours and arrangements to balance business needs and employee preferences, with an expectation of spending approximately 50% of time onsite.
