Senior Business Analyst Contract Opportunity
Our client based in Wellington seeks an experienced Senior Business Analyst to contribute to a significant technical program running through June 2027. This role demands a strong focus on gathering and translating both business and technical requirements to enable successful delivery.
Primary Responsibilities
- Produce clear and thorough documentation encompassing both functional and non-functional business and technical requirements.
- Create process maps illustrating current operations as well as envisioned future workflows post-implementation.
- Draft user stories and acceptance criteria precisely to facilitate development teams in building and testing solutions effectively.
- Define data and integration specifications including data flow diagrams, system interfaces, APIs, and reporting necessities.
- Conduct system impact analyses to identify affected applications, processes, users, roles, and dependency chains.
- Perform gap analysis contrasting the existing capabilities against the necessary future state.
- Collaborate with the Architecture team to evaluate and recommend solution options that highlight feasibility, associated risks, benefits, and constraints.
- Assist in preparing test scenarios and support user acceptance testing (UAT), including defining test cases, validating outcomes, and managing defect resolution.
- Engage with stakeholders to document workshop outcomes, decisions made, assumptions, risks, issues, and agreed action points where applicable.
- Provide implementation assistance by contributing to change impact analysis, transition planning, training coordination, and ensuring operational readiness.
- Develop comprehensive handover documentation ensuring support teams fully understand the solution, dependencies, and ongoing business as usual (BAU) requirements.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
