Senior Accountant

Overview

Located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, this full-time Senior Accountant position reports directly to the CEO at Mishkat Agritech Farm. The role focuses on managing daily accounting operations, preparing accurate financial reports, and maintaining rigorous internal controls aligned with IFRS and Saudi regulations within a manufacturing or FMCG setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the General Ledger with precise and prompt financial transaction entries.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements compliant with IFRS standards.
• Handle month-end and year-end accounting closures efficiently.
• Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions alongside bank reconciliations.
• Manage inventory accounting, including physical and perpetual stock reconciliations and product costing methods.
• Analyze production costs and inventory valuations, explaining any discrepancies.
• Prepare and file VAT returns in strict accordance with ZATCA mandates.
• Ensure all invoicing meets ZATCA e-invoicing (Fatoora) regulations.
• Guarantee adherence to company policies, IFRS requirements, and internal control frameworks.
• Support the budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting processes.
• Deliver cost and margin analyses to aid commercial and operational strategies.
• Serve as the finance point of contact for the CEO on financial performance, liquidity status, and risk assessments.
• Liaise with external auditors and compile necessary audit documentation.
• Review accounting records and mentor junior finance staff.
• Drive continuous enhancement of accounting procedures and ERP systems, preferably Odoo.

Professional Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline is mandatory.
• Possession of a Chartered Accountant (CA) credential from a recognized professional body is required.
• Between 5 to 8 years of progressive accounting experience; expertise in agriculture or food production sectors is highly preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS, VAT, inventory and cost accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in ERP software, with a preference for experience on the Odoo platform.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical thinking, organizational capability, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent command of English; Arabic language skills are an added advantage.
