About eNGINE

eNGINE specializes in assembling skilled technical teams, operating as a solutions and placement firm grounded in decades of interaction with IT professionals. Our core motivation stems from ongoing learning and engagement with the markets, talent pools, and client teams we serve. We promote career satisfaction by providing challenging projects, flexible scheduling, and paid opportunities for training and certification.

Role Overview

The Security Analyst role straddles the fields of cybersecurity and data accountability. You'll be responsible for reviewing reports and controls across areas such as Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Vulnerability Management. Your critical evaluations will highlight discrepancies in adherence to security policies (for example, password policies) and provide evidence-supported assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed examination and interpretation of complex security datasets to derive meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Advise on risk mitigation techniques, ensuring alignment with standards in partnership with ISD ECM, and escalate significant risks for appropriate treatment.
  • Detect operational obstacles and advocate for timely corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with Information Security and cross-functional teams in a cooperative, objective-driven manner.
  • Assist in generating ad hoc reports and discussions around risk treatment, particularly relating to IAM and vulnerability remediation, including policy waiver processes and oversight of control deficiencies with ISD ECM Operations.
  • Consult with IT and business units to reinforce essential aspects of the organization's information security framework.

Candidate Profile

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, with advanced degrees considered advantageous; equivalent professional experience is acceptable.
  • Proven experience in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) within information security or analogous technological domains; background in financial services or securities sectors is a plus.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with an aptitude for investigating data and addressing challenging queries.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence and reporting tools such as SQL, DB2, Power BI, Business Objects, Qlik, Tableau, and Excel/PowerPoint—competency in interpreting outputs rather than building them is expected.
  • Knowledgeable about cybersecurity frameworks including NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), CRI, ISO standards, etc.
  • Basic understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles is desirable.
