Job description
Role Overview
Astra Tech seeks an experienced Scrum Master skilled in consumer technology and communication platforms to champion agile project delivery for its multidisciplinary product and engineering teams. The role demands servant leadership and agile coaching to achieve timely, within-scope, and high-quality software releases while fostering ongoing team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and lead Scrum events including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Engineering Managers to prioritize tasks and align sprint objectives.
- Identify and eliminate obstacles, manage dependencies, and promote continuous improvement in delivery workflows.
- Enforce agile methodologies and best practices consistently across teams.
- Encourage a transparent, accountable, and collaborative work environment.
- Monitor sprint metrics such as velocity, burn-down charts, and cycle time to enhance team productivity and forecasting.
- Advise teams on implementing agile tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.) tailored to fintech cycles.
- Work alongside compliance, security, and data teams to ensure smooth agile delivery.
- Support multiple squads engaged in communications, AI, platform development, and customer experience.
- Coach and mentor team members and stakeholders toward an agile mindset.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related fields; Master’s preferred.
- Certified Scrum Master credentials (CSM, PSM I/II) or equivalent agile certification.
- At least 4 years of Scrum Master experience in software development with consumer platforms.
- Deep knowledge of agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and familiarity with DevOps practices.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Experience working effectively with remote or cross-functional teams.
- Analytical approach with proficiency in using delivery performance metrics to foster improvements.
