Scrum Master - Remote

About the Role

Dorrus.com, a pioneering travel booking platform, is looking to add a Scrum Master to its dynamic remote team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about agile practices and keen to enable teams to achieve outstanding outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead Scrum ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Provide coaching to development teams on Agile best practices and uphold Scrum principles.
• Remove obstacles, shielding the team from distractions and interruptions.
• Work closely with Product Owners to maintain and prioritize the product backlog effectively.
• Monitor and report team metrics aimed at enhancing velocity and delivery quality.
• Promote clear communication channels between stakeholders and the development team.
• Address and resolve team conflicts, fostering healthy team dynamics.
• Encourage continuous process improvements and team growth through optimization strategies.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of two years’ experience as a Scrum Master or in a comparable role.
• Strong grasp of Agile and Scrum methodologies and frameworks.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps or equivalent project management software.
• Exceptional facilitation and coaching capabilities.
• Excellent communication and conflict management skills.
• Understanding of software development workflows and terminology.
• Problem-solving aptitude, able to identify and eliminate impediments.
• Experience working effectively with remote or distributed teams.

Preferred Additional Qualifications

• Certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe.
• Experience specific to the travel or hospitality sectors.
• Background in software development or quality assurance.
• Knowledge of other Agile approaches like Kanban, Lean, or XP.
• Experience with scaling Agile frameworks within expanding organizations.
• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and tooling.

Work Environment and Culture

• This is a fully remote opportunity, allowing work from any location.
