Role Overview

This role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the plant, including offices, lunchrooms, restrooms, and production areas. The sanitation worker plays a vital part in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), directly supporting product quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize all plant equipment and facilities such as processing and packaging machinery, flour bins, product waste containers, ingredient bins, conveyors, ceilings, vents, and exterior spaces.
  • Maintain hygiene in restrooms, lunchrooms, break rooms, racks, tanks, offices, and surrounding grounds.
  • Handle cleaning chemicals and solutions safely in accordance with guidelines.
  • Work safely in challenging environments including elevated, confined spaces with exposure to flour dust, water, and temperature variations.
  • Exhibit flexibility by working off-shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.

Position Details

This is a full-time permanent position on the 3rd shift schedule, operating Sunday through Friday nights from 9:00 pm Sunday (11:00 pm during weekdays) to 7:00 am. The role is newly created and currently not vacant.

Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, preferably food production, with exposure to dust, allergens, and variable temperatures during cleaning activities.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs, twisting, stooping, and standing or walking for extended periods.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with a proven ability to follow procedural and safety instructions.
