Role Overview
The Salesperson position is a full-time, onsite role based in Kampala. Responsibilities center on actively locating and engaging potential customers, showcasing Maji Safi’s water products and services with clear, persuasive communication. The role encompasses managing the entire sales process: from lead generation, product demos, negotiating terms, closing deals, to post-sale engagement aimed at customer satisfaction and encouraging repeat business.
Daily Duties
- Visiting prospective clients to introduce products
- Maintaining accurate sales documentation and performance reports
- Collaborating with operations to ensure efficient delivery and installation
- Collecting customer feedback and tracking market trends
- Proposing strategies to refine sales and promotional efforts
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience in sales, field marketing, or direct customer interaction, preferably in consumer goods or services
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of sales processes, lead management, and customer service practices
- Independent work ethic with effective time management and ability to meet sales targets
- Comfort and effectiveness in engaging diverse community groups and simplifying technical or product information
- Fluency in English; additional local language skills relevant to Kampala are beneficial
- Familiarity with the water, sanitation, or utility sector is advantageous but not required
- Diploma or certificate in Business, Marketing, Communications, or allied fields; or equivalent practical experience
- Proficiency with basic computing tools such as email, spreadsheets, and mobile applications for communication and reporting
- High standards of integrity, reliability, and willingness to travel within Kampala and surrounding areas
