Role Overview
The Sales Account Manager (SAM) position based in Singapore focuses on acquiring and expanding client accounts, boosting market penetration through targeted sales and marketing initiatives, and meeting revenue and profit targets within the region. The role demands leveraging business insight and networking to implement and sustain profitable growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and profit objectives.
- Participate in creating and executing sales plans and market strategies for products, new markets, and applications.
- Collaborate with Sales/BD Managers and Technical Account Managers to secure business in competitive environments.
- Communicate market trends and customer feedback to senior leadership and sales teams.
- Ensure timely reporting and documentation of activities through CRM and direct manager communication.
- Introduce GenScript’s offerings to new industrial, academic, and government sectors.
- Drive business growth alongside the internal technical support team.
- Develop and maintain a network of business references to support expansion.
- Work with channel partners and key clients to fulfill sales targets.
Candidate Qualifications
- PhD or Master’s degree or higher in Biology, Life Sciences, or related fields.
- Preferably at least one year of active laboratory experience; background in molecular biology or related research is advantageous.
- Familiarity with biological and CRO markets, particularly in Gene Synthesis, Protein, Peptide, BioAssay, Antibody, or Cell Line products.
- Well-connected within the life sciences professional network.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a global commercial environment.
- Skilled in accurately forecasting sales within designated territories.
- Highly motivated with a proactive and competitive attitude.
