Job Summary
The role of Transportation Driver demands holding a valid current CDL, possessing a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), and maintaining an up-to-date medical card. Candidates must have at least one year of driving experience or an equivalent classroom qualification. Professional personal appearance and the ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) exam are also necessary.
Work Schedule
The schedule begins at 2:00 AM with a rotating 4-day work cycle. Hours may be adjusted depending on the company's operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure food safety and quality by performing assigned tasks and keeping the work environment clean and sanitary.
- Adhere to biosecurity and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) protocols.
- Collaborate with site leadership and HR to facilitate training activities.
- Communicate food safety concerns promptly to authorized personnel for corrective action.
- When off-site, backup duties are covered by fellow managers.
- Operate company vehicles safely in compliance with federal, state, and corporate regulations.
- Conduct oneself professionally and courteously as a company representative at all times.
- Maintain detailed vehicle operation logs, report maintenance needs to the Distribution Supervisor daily, and complete all required DOT and company documentation.
- Deliver ordered trailers punctually and notify the Distribution Supervisor of any issues or improvement suggestions daily.
- Accurately document daily accounts of delivered and returned cases by customers.
- Work independently while supporting Distribution Department activities.
- Maintain cooperative relationships with management, supervisors, and colleagues.
- Follow all company safety policies and perform duties with minimal supervision.
- Keep the work area clean and secure.
- Perform any additional related tasks as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English, including the ability to identify colors.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Capable of multitasking and working independently with minimal supervision.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is between $1,633.16 and $1,814.64 (USD), varying based on individual skills, experience, and geographical location.
