Overview

Join a company passionate about its mission where your role as Revenue Manager involves crafting and delivering data-driven, thoroughly considered portfolio and pricing strategies. You will support senior leadership and marketing managers by analyzing business internal data alongside external market and competitor trends to inform pricing and profitability insights. Additionally, you will oversee pricing management and compliance monitoring, alerting the organization to any deviations and their business impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Combine various detailed data sources to establish solid decision-making tools and insightful analyses.
  • Develop and continuously enhance sophisticated revenue management analytical tools and models.
  • Conduct analyses such as profit waterfall, price threshold evaluations, discount curve assessments, elasticity calculations, and competitor pricing intelligence gathering.
  • Perform regular and specific evaluations of portfolio results relative to strategic goals and key performance indicators, identifying underperforming product lines for potential rationalization.
  • Support packaging and pricing architecture initiatives to align brand offerings with shopper and trade requirements, recommending cluster-specific assortment adjustments and recognizing market opportunity gaps.
  • Execute scenario modeling to aid innovation efforts, determining optimal pricing, promotion timing, and volume assumptions for new launches.
  • Analyze customer profitability and performance using defined strategic roles and KPIs to guide resource and financial allocation decisions.
  • Collaborate intensely with Shopper & Trade Marketing and Customer Managers to optimize promotions and pricing structures by channel and customer cluster to achieve competitive share-of-value, encourage brand switching, and boost profitable basket size and mix.
  • Assist in financial planning for price increases by modeling competitor reactions, trade purchase behavior, and timing of retail shelf price updates.
  • Monitor price increase implementation and promptly flag any discrepancies from the planned strategy.
  • Provide data-supported commercial arguments for trade negotiations related to innovations, marketing campaigns, promotional pricing, and pricing recommendations.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure accurate pricing accruals and proper execution of pricing strategies.
  • Identify and communicate pricing compliance issues to enable timely remediation and minimize commercial risks.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in B.Comm with focus on Economics and Business Administration.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Revenue or Pricing Manager, preferably within the FMCG or manufacturing industries.
