About the Role
The Retail Sales Supervisor at PUMA is entrusted with driving sales excellence and operational efficiency in the store. The role demands leadership to meet and surpass sales targets, key performance indicators, and profit goals through strategic short- and long-term planning, effective cost management, and superior customer service delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the store consistently reaches or exceeds sales, KPIs, and profitability benchmarks by implementing effective planning and cost control measures.
- Maintain exceptional customer experience aligned with PUMA’s Cornerstones and service standards.
- Support recruitment, training, and growth of high-performing, customer-focused team members.
- Manage payroll and scheduling to maximize profitability while delivering outstanding customer service.
- Implement and oversee domestic and global training programs to achieve measurable results.
- Analyze customer demographics, buying behaviors, and competitor activities to inform business strategies.
- Lead loss prevention initiatives, training, compliance, and awareness within the store environment.
- Meet or exceed all inventory and shrinkage targets and supervise physical inventory processes.
- Oversee the flow and handling of merchandise, ensuring accuracy of incoming and outgoing stock.
- Identify and communicate merchandising opportunities to store management.
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns and events, ensuring adherence to budget and company policies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local public relations and marketing teams.
- Participate in new store openings or closures, with travel as needed.
- Attend off-site training sessions and meetings as required, potentially involving travel.
- Ensure visual merchandising aligns with PUMA standards and maintain the store’s physical condition.
- Comply with all operational competencies and maintain a safe, compliant environment for associates.
- Work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, holidays, and overtime when necessary.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses one to two years of leadership experience in a retail environment focused on customer service, preferably in apparel or footwear.
- Demonstrated ability to surpass sales goals while managing payroll effectively.
- Skilled in recruiting, training, developing, and retaining talented individuals and teams.
- Strong problem-solving and reasoning capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present to larger groups.
