Role Overview

The Research Associate supports asset class research and investment manager due diligence efforts. Key duties include constructing investment manager searches, coordinating and documenting research meetings, gathering and analyzing data, attending meetings with investment managers, and assisting analysts in research activities.

This role involves collaboration across the Research team with a focus on public equities and public fixed income asset classes. Candidates must be organized, excellent communicators, collaborative, and proficient with quantitative analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support Research team by generating reports and extracting data from platforms such as eVestment, Bloomberg, FactSet, Pitchbook, and MSCI Private Capital
• Prepare educational materials for clients
• Draft reports and analyses on investment managers for both internal purposes and client presentations
• Evaluate market factors impacting the asset classes
• Author position papers and research documents related to asset classes
• Organize weekly agendas for Traditional IMC meetings and record plus distribute minutes
• Collaborate with asset class leads to produce client-ready manager search deliveries
• Manage scheduling for Research team meetings
• Develop expertise in the firm's proprietary database, the Hub
• Support the Marketing team with manager data for pitches, RFPs, and information requests
• Maintain quarterly benchmark characteristic updates
• Act as a resource for consultants

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 1 to 5 years of investment-related experience in the financial services industry
• Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized, with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines
• Capability to multitask in a dynamic setting and adapt positively to change
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and quick to learn new software tools
• Strong critical thinking, initiative, and excellent follow-up skills
• Professional communication and interpersonal abilities

The initial salary offer depends on the applicant's educational background, experience, skills, location, internal equity, and current market data. Additionally, this role qualifies for participation in the annual incentive plan featuring a target bonus of 10-12% of the base salary.
