Role Location and Hours
This position is based at Radius Karori Care, located at 29 Messines Rd, Karori, Wellington. The role requires full-time commitment, consisting of 40 hours per week on a rotating roster that includes weekends and public holidays.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse, you will develop skills in person-centered care and critical thinking. Your duties will include conducting patient assessments and formulating care plans, delivering outstanding care to residents, and reviewing outcomes alongside their families. You will monitor changes in residents’ conditions and behaviors, administer medications, and assist residents with daily living activities.
- Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation
- Provide education and guidance to colleagues about potential medication side effects
- Monitor residents and initiate urgent treatment if emergencies arise
- Manage wound care effectively
- Offer reassurance and information to the families of residents

Required Skills and Experience
- Must hold a current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate
- Proficient in computer usage with the ability to produce clear reports
- Strong interpersonal skills and empathy towards residents and their families
- Flexibility to work rostered shifts as scheduled
- Preferably over one year of registered nursing experience in New Zealand
