Recreation Experience Expert

About the Role

This position is a key resource for all recreational activities offered on the property including pool, beach, entertainment/game room, gym, and children's activity center. The expert provides guests with information on available recreational facilities and encourages their participation by recruiting, registering, and organizing activities. The goal is to foster a fun and relaxing atmosphere while promoting safety rules and regulations to ensure guest well-being.

They monitor recreation areas and respond appropriately to emergencies according to local procedures. Responsibilities may include cashier duties at recreational points of sale and assisting with private group functions and events. They must vigilantly identify unsafe situations and promptly report to supervisors and provide first aid support until medical help arrives.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of recreational facilities, equipment, and supplies.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to company policies, maintain a professional appearance, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and assist guests per company standards, including support for those with disabilities.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, including proper telephone etiquette.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve shared objectives.
• Process payments for equipment rental, activities, or retail sales.
• Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards.
• Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and printed information.
• Use computer systems and point-of-sale technology to enter and locate work-related information.
• Stand, sit, or walk for long periods and handle physical tasks such as lifting and moving objects up to or beyond 11 kg with assistance.
• Perform various physical motions including reaching, bending, twisting, climbing stairs or ramps, and navigating uneven or slippery surfaces.
• Carry out other reasonable duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
• No prior related work or supervisory experience is required.
• Mandatory certifications in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid.
• Knowledge and certification in use of recreational and physical training equipment.
• Compliance with all local and state agency required certifications or trainings.
