Job description
Position Overview
A contracting company is seeking a Saudi National professional to fill the role of Quantity Surveyor / Cost Engineer. This role involves detailed quantity surveying, cost management, and certification preparation primarily within infrastructure projects centered on water and wastewater systems.
Core Responsibilities and Expertise
- Handle quantity surveying tasks, valuations, cost control, and processing payment certificates.
- Work extensively on infrastructure projects including water and wastewater networks, water transmission pipelines, pumping stations, road construction, excavation, backfilling, asphalt paving, and civil/concrete applications.
- Prepare and review monthly and final payment certificates alongside subcontractor valuations, variations, and extra work assessments.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
- At least five years of practical experience in the relevant quantity surveying and cost control fields.
- Must hold a valid membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
- Expertise in bill of quantities (BOQ), quantity take-offs, interpreting drawings, specifications, and conducting cost analyses.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD software tools.
- Strong communication, reporting capabilities, and teamwork orientation emphasized.
Preferred Experience
Background in projects associated with the National Water Company (NWC) or similar infrastructure works within Saudi Arabia’s water and wastewater sector is highly advantageous.
