Job Overview

As a Quality Assurance Specialist reporting to the QA Manager, you will support teams including QA/QC, Operations, and Sales to uphold and enhance product quality and compliance.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) throughout manufacturing by routinely auditing and conducting inspections.
• Continuously improve GMP compliance through strategic initiatives.
• Manage and enhance the Quality Management System (QMS), identifying and implementing improvements.
• Lead investigations into quality discrepancies, develop and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), ensuring their effectiveness.
• Handle deviation management by investigating and resolving departures from procedures and standards.
• Oversee document control to guarantee accuracy, completeness, and integrity while managing document revisions and archives.
• Perform root cause analyses for quality issues and customer complaints, working cross-functionally with sales, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to resolve them.
• Enter and review work orders, update production schedules, and ensure compliance with documentation and labeling standards.
• Develop, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), providing training and support for consistent adherence.
• Progress towards becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with ownership over key quality programs aligned with regulatory frameworks such as 21 CFR Parts 210/211, including Annual Product Reviews, Supplier Qualification, eQMS management, and audit readiness.

Experience and Qualifications

• Prior experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally within regulated industries like pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or food production.
• In-depth knowledge of GMP and related regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO standards).
• Familiarity with quality systems management, CAPAs, deviations, document control, and SOP implementation.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and effective communication skills, with fluency in English.
• Attention to detail with a strong dedication to quality and compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
