Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Public Health Engineering (PHE) Engineer to contribute to the design and implementation of critical infrastructure systems across varied projects including metro stations, road tunnels, car parks, OCC buildings, and industrial buildings. The engineer will prepare detailed designs, Bills of Quantities, and construction drawings for comprehensive PHE systems encompassing water supply, sanitation, roof drainage, water/wastewater treatment, stormwater management, solid waste management, and landscape irrigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed designs, BOQs, and Good for Construction Drawings for all elements of Public Health Engineering systems in building projects.
- Review tender documents and compile corresponding Bills of Quantities.
- Execute all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design tasks, coordinating with cross-disciplinary teams including architects, structural engineers, electrical, ELV, piping, fire fighting, and HVAC specialists to ensure integrated, cost-effective, and high-quality outcomes aligned with client and owner requirements.
- Manage coordination with stakeholders for vendor selection and finalization.
- Oversee vendor management involving collection, review, and approval of vendor submissions such as documentation and shop drawings.
- Secure necessary approvals from clients, client representatives, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Conduct site visits to validate and resolve issues pertaining to PHE design implementation.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Demonstrated experience designing Public Health Engineering systems for infrastructural projects similar to metro stations, tunnels, car parks, and industrial buildings.
- Proficient knowledge of Indian and international codes, standards, and statutory mandates relevant to PHE system design.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with architecture, structural, and other MEP service teams.
- Familiarity with PHE material specifications and all relevant design software tools.
- Expertise in installation and commissioning processes of PHE components.
- Comprehensive understanding of design, installation, operation, and maintenance of water, wastewater, and solid waste treatment systems.
- Knowledgeable about Green Building standards and compliance.
