Position Overview
The Project Manager for Client Success & Engagement will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of various pharmaceutical and healthcare engagement initiatives such as Advisory Boards, MD and AP Insight Forums, Virtual Grand Rounds, Clinical Pearls, Peer Perspectives, and other tailored educational projects. This role acts as the main operational leader for designated client programs, collaborating with teams including Sales, Clinical Affairs, Content, Recruitment, Production, and external partners to ensure timely, budget-conscious, and premium client experiences. Success in this position demands superior project management capability, exemplary communication, keen attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple complex projects simultaneously in a dynamic, client-centric environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute multiple client engagement programs concurrently.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, milestones, and outputs.
- Coordinate across departments to maintain project timelines and scope adherence.
- Oversee budgets, deadlines, risks, and dependencies; proactively escalate and resolve issues.
- Function as the principal daily liaison for pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare clients.
- Organize client kickoff meetings, status updates, and follow-up reviews.
- Ensure a highly responsive, thorough client engagement experience throughout projects.
- Manage client expectations while maintaining clear communication.
- Build trusted partnerships with Medical Affairs, Commercial, Marketing, and agencies.
- Collaborate extensively with Sales, Clinical Affairs, Recruitment, Editorial, Production, Digital, Marketing, and Finance teams.
- Handle logistical coordination of meetings and events including Advisory Boards, Insight Forums, Virtual Grand Rounds, and educational programs.
- Maintain accurate documentation, track expenses, deliverable timelines, and quality control standards.
- Identify opportunities to refine workflows and help establish best practices in project management.
- Provide routine updates to clients, internal teams, faculty, recruitment, and sales leadership through reports and meeting summaries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 4 to 7 years of experience in project management.
- Prior experience in healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical communications, healthcare events, or medical education preferred.
- Proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
- Strong client-facing skills and excellent organizational abilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication.
- Capability to work effectively in fast-moving environments.
- Experience engaging with executive-level stakeholders.
Preferred Expertise
- Pharmaceutical industry knowledge.
- Medical Affairs and Medical Education familiarity.
- Advisory Board facilitation and Healthcare Events coordination.
- Key Opinion Leader (KOL) management experience.
- Continuing Medical Education (CME) involvement.
- Agency or healthcare communications background.
- Budget oversight skills.
- Proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office.
- Experience using project management tools such as Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet, or Jira.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $79,000 to $85,000 annually, subject to experience.
