Project Manager

Position Overview

This role involves leading software delivery projects for Tier 1 and Tier 2 enterprise clients in the DACH region, particularly within Manufacturing and Retail sectors. You will be responsible for managing all phases of project delivery, collaborating with diverse teams, and fostering strong partnerships with customers to achieve key business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee complete software development initiatives ensuring timely, high-quality, and value-driven results.
• Manage project parameters such as scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and overall delivery outcomes to secure successful completions.
• Establish and maintain reliable relationships with enterprise clients through clear communication and expectation management during the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate cross-disciplinary teams including architects, engineers, business analysts, QA professionals, and delivery leaders.
• Track project financials — forecasting, invoicing, profitability, and delivery status.
• Identify risks and propose improvements to project processes while ensuring compliance with delivery standards.
• Support pre-sales activities, project estimation, and documentation as necessary.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Demonstrable experience managing software development projects in IT services or technology environments.
• Comprehensive understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and contemporary delivery methodologies.
• Practical expertise with predictive, Agile, or mixed project management frameworks.
• Proven ability to control project scope, timeline, budget, risk, and stakeholder communication effectively.
• Well-versed in project financial oversight, governance, and quality assurance procedures.
• Experience leading distributed or multifunctional engineering groups.
• Upper-Intermediate or higher proficiency in German to effectively conduct client meetings, routine communications, and prepare project materials.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience collaborating with enterprise clients in the DACH area is advantageous.
• Industry background in Manufacturing, Retail, or Supply Chain is a plus.
• Familiarity with fixed-price or outcome-based project delivery is beneficial.
• Certifications like PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master or equivalent are desirable.
