Programme Delivery Director - Technology

About the Role

We are seeking a Programme Delivery Director focused on Technology to join our team based in Doha, Qatar. This full-time position requires working both from our office location and client sites. The successful candidate will oversee extensive client programs throughout the region, ensuring the effective delivery of complex initiatives that bring measurable business benefits. You will be responsible for end results, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring commercial success, while fostering ongoing process improvements and leading a high-performing team. This role demands a balance of strategic leadership and deep technical knowledge to challenge decisions, solve complex challenges, and collaborate with senior engineering and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle delivery of multiple programs, complying with organizational standards.
• Manage relationships with clients at the project, program, and governance levels to fulfill stakeholder expectations.
• Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to preserve quality and meet goals.
• Prepare and maintain detailed program delivery plans, project proposals, and statements of work.
• Supervise diverse workstreams, ensuring adherence to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and IT service management processes.
• Assume accountability for all delivery outcomes including financial performance, sourcing, implementation, and compliance aspects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across locations to consistently manage estimates, timelines, and retrospective reviews.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields.
• Significant leadership experience managing large-scale, complex, and multi-team programs involving over 100 full-time employees across multiple years.
• Successful track record of delivering enterprise-level digital transformation projects within consulting settings.
• Expertise managing annual budgets exceeding $10 million.
• Solid understanding of microservices architectures, cloud-native solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP), continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and DevOps methodologies.
• Comprehensive knowledge of SDLC and Product Development Life Cycle frameworks and best practices in program management.
• Proficient with agile methodologies on a large scale (e.g., SAFe, LeSS) and capable of adapting to hybrid delivery models.
• Capable of effectively engaging in architectural and technical discussions.
• Experience utilizing AI technologies to advance digital transformation efforts.
• Strong communication and influencing skills when interacting with VP and C-level executives.
• Fluent in both Arabic and English, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen in managing contracts, scope adjustments, and commercial strategies.

Preferred Additional Experience

• Background in the oil and gas industry.
• Experience with global system integrators and delivery models.
• Involvement in pre-sales, solution design, or negotiation of complex commercial agreements.
